The name Didi Retreats was inspired by an unforgettable journey to Nepal with a group of remarkable women connected through my high school friend, Marcia. Led by our trek guide, Andrea (Dre), we embarked on a trek to Manaslu, climbing from lush jungles to icy glaciers and embracing the rich Nepalese culture. One tradition stood out: local women greeting each other with “didi,” meaning “honorable sister.” This  gesture became our group’s cherished ritual, symbolizing connection and respect.  Naming my retreat business Didi Retreats honors Dre’s legacy and the powerful sisterhood we formed—a tribute to shared adventures and lifelong connections.
